Dear Kiefer:

Are you okay? I’ve been hearing all about the terrible wildfires, and I’m obviously concerned about everyone who is losing homes, being prevented from working, and otherwise being impacted by this disaster.

I’d read that your show “24″ had to cancel filming because of the fires and the smoke damage at the show’s location. Does this mean that episodes of the show will be interrupted on TV? Can you make up time on the shooting schedule once the fires have been put out, or do you need to find another location?

If you want to get away from all of the fires and the damage, I suggest that “24″ could start shooting up here in Seattle. We’ve got a lot of great locations for television production, and the people are really friendly, too. Plus, I know a lot of people who would be happy to house you and the rest of the cast and crew in their homes — you could even bring your dogs!

Just wanted to let you know that we’re all thinking of you up here in Seattle. Seriously, you’re welcome to escape up this way, if that looks like a good option.
